SUMMARY:Fall Drive & The Copper Dock
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT – THERE IS A WAIT LIST!\n\nMeet at 11:45am and Depart at Noon from Edgewood Golf Course in Big Bend. We will stop at 1:30pm for restrooms and refreshments with arrival at Copper Dock at 3:30pm. Minimum 55 people with limited menu. Please select your entree from the list below.\n\nHard to believe we are in the final stages of preparation for drive #21 of our 24-drive season.  With only two meetings to go before 10/10\, it’s time to reserve your spot for the FALL DRIVE and COPPER DOCK Supper Club.  Fifty-five members are on the list\, max is fifty-five. \n \nAs we discussed at our last meeting\, now is the time for your $20 per person deposit to assure your spot for dinner.  Your $20 deposit per person will be returned to you when you arrive at the Copper Dock.  The person collecting\, and returning\, your deposit is Scott Burkhardt.  Scott will be available at our 8/18 & 9/16 meetings\, or you can reach Scott at 262-420-8518 or e-mail at: scooterb102@yahoo.com.  \n \nNOTE: Members who have not made their deposit by 9/16 will be removed from the dinner reservation sign-up sheet.\n \nTo be fair to all our members there is a waiting list\, and Copper Dock is interested in filling the reservation.  Members on the waiting list will be contacted as soon as openings become available.\n \nAND THERE’S MORE\, WHAT ABOUT DINNER !!  \n \nWhen you meet with Scott\, please be prepared to select your dinner.  Dinner selections also need to be in no later than 9/16.\nDinner payments at Copper Dock will be made directly to your waitress or waiter (not to Scott).\nThe dinner selections are as follows:\n\n\nQueen Filet – $57\nChicken Cordon Blue – $44\nPan Seared Walleye – $42\nSeafood Casserole – $52\nBeef Stroganoff – $42\nFull Rack of Ribs – $44\n\nAll entrees will be served with the house salad with their homemade lemon vinaigrette.  All entrees will also come with a side of mashed potato.  In the past desserts have been available\, at an additional charge\, I haven’t worked out that detail.  Dinners will be paid to your waitress or waiter.  To make their jobs easier\, CASH would be greatly appreciated.\n \nWhen you arrive at the Coper Dock\, Scott will hand you an envelope with your deposit AND meal ticket(s) corresponding to your dinner selection(s).\n \nThe FALL Drive is always fun\, one of the last chances to drive in a group.  Yes – This is a rain or shine event.\n \nSue & I are looking forward to a safe and fun day\, Copper Dock is looking forward to hosting us.  \n \nTHANK YOU in advance for participating.    \nAny questions I can be reached at 262-470-3951\, HOWEVER I can be “easier” reached @ gebjr@yahoo.com\n \nGeorge Beardsley

SUMMARY:Veterans Honor Drive - Lunch @ Anchor Inn-Newville\, WI
DESCRIPTION:We kicked-off our 2026 driving season on April 18th with our “DUST-UM-OFF” drive.  34 members attended.  Here we are\, 207 days later and MCC has arrived at 11/11/26 – Veterans Day.  In honor of Veterans Day we will host the “VETERANS HONOR DRIVE”.  \nVeterans Day\, in the United States\, is a national holiday honoring veterans of all branches of the Armed Forces regardless of whether they served in wartime or peacetime. The observance originated in 1919 on the first anniversary of the 1918 armistice that ended World War I and was then known as Armistice Day.  In 1954 the day was renamed Veterans Day.     \n\nThe Veterans Honor Drive will mark the 24th drive of our 24-drive\, 7\,000+ mile season.   \n \nThe Veterans Honor Drive will DEPART from Papa Stache in Big Bend at 11:11am. The 60-mile route will take us the Anchor Inn in Newville WI.  Great restaurant located on the Rock River\, just west of Lake Koshkonong.  Anchor Inn has a detailed website if you want to check out the menu.  There we’ll grab lunch and discuss some new driving ideas and adventures for 2027.     \n \nAs always people are free to come & go at these events\, however\, on this drive there will be a guided drive back to Hwy 43 in Mukwonago for those that are interested.  Total drive is about a 95-mile loop.  Of course\, being mid-November the weather and road conditions could become an issue. If there are changes to the agenda\, you will be contacted via e-mail so everyone will have the latest info. Heck\, if it’s not a “corvette day”\, we’ll adjust accordingly and find a way to meet.  Based on member suggestions and board approval it will be almost 160 days (probably 4/17/27) before our next drive so hopefully we can make 11/11 a drive day.\n\n
