March 2023
Hi Everyone!
Spring is right around the corner!
We received a positive response to developing the Social Corner on our website. We invite members to post any upcoming non-club events such as Friday Fish fry, Brewer parties, etc. to find out where members are gathering for social events. (see Karen Pizur)
As we are now a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, we have sent out letters to current sponsors to share our news and we are looking for new sponsors for our club. We also adopted our new 50th Anniversary logo into our banner for club agendas, letters, etc. Don’t forget to order your shirts with the new logo for club events. (see Caribe Ink and Thread, 5121 W Rogers St, Milwaukee 414-975-5084)
We are finishing up the final plans for the 32 cars going to Bowling Green/Nashville May 16th to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Emails will be sent out to those attending this drive with updates. We also sent out invitations to former members to join us for out 50th Anniversary celebration events September 9-10. We will send out details on the picnic and Sunday dinner/dance events later in the summer.
We received some great ideas at the February meeting for summer drives and events that we are working on scheduling. Please continue to share your ideas at the upcoming meetings.
On another note, we lost another longtime member of our club. Larry Schue had been a member for over 30 years. He brought fun and laughter to all club events. He was always there helping out at club events-cooking at cars shows and welcoming new members into club activities. He will be greatly missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Judy Schue. We need to hold his memory and those of our other members that we lost in our hearts and thoughts as our club members continue to gather as a social club and share in the ups and downs of life. Prayers go out also to other members struggling with poor health at this time.
Stay Safe,
Mia
