DESCRIPTION:Dear MCC Corvette Enthusiasts\, \nThere has been a change for us in the start times this year. We have been moved close to the start of the parade behind the Mayor and other dignitaries. Then us. This helps us spend less time waiting and gets us out of the parade early. \nThe parade actually starts at 11am sharp so they are asking us to be there (in the line-up) by 10:15am. We should be done by noon. \n\n9:15am   Meet at Bell’s. \n  \n9:25am Short meeting. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n9:30am Leave for the parade line-up together from Bell’s. \n  \n9:45am We will then find our spot on Brentwood across from the Post Office. \n  \n10am Arrive and get set for the parade start. Put out your flags if you have them\, etc\, open the candy bags. Smile\, Practice waving. \n  \n11am Parade start. \n  \nRemember little ones are all over the place looking for candy. Stay alert\, be diligent. If in doubt or if candy dropped too close to your vehicle\, Stop. Check and double check before proceeding. Please\, no burnout. Revving and honking is fine. The parade has really grown and now continues down Drexel Ave. Last year everybody was caught off guard and ran out of candy early not expecting all the extra kids and their families. So\, what the heck\, buy plenty\, better to be a philanthropist and sleep well then to lay awake nights seeing all the hauntingly sad little faces. \nAt the end of the parade for us\, I’ll pull over and wait\, stay together and continue down Drexel to 76th. South on 76th to Ryan rd\, west on Ryan rd to Hwy 36 (Loomis Road) SW on Loomis to Racine\, north on Kelsey to Bell’s. The pool is open and there is\, beer\, brats\, water\, soda yada yada and of course you are welcome to bring your own favorite concoctions. Relax at the pool\, twinkle your toes\, pet the ponies.(Hot wire will be off) For respite the patio doors to the entertainment area are open to cool down. SUMMARY:Multi Corvette Club Social Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Steve Rose is the coordinator of this event. This event is at the Tichigan Lions Club\, 6710 Big Bend Road in Waterford from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Bring your lawn chairs and smiles expect a good time and try to mingle with our guests. Music by The Hit-Men band. Three different types of food trucks will be available outside for purchase and the bar inside will be staffed with three bartenders inside the Lions Club house for purchase. We will need to do our own policing and clean-up afterwards. The Tichigan Lions has given us an incredible discount to us for the use of their facility. From their typical fee of $1\,000 for the use of their facility to a fee of only $250. We purchased 2 additional bartenders (3 in all)  in addition to help tend to our needs for libation expediency. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a strong synergistic assimilation with the other major Corvette clubs and our partnership on these events with the Tichigan Lions Club. Let us all respect and appreciate their generous kindness to us. 8 Corvette Clubs are participating. This is strictly a social event. No judging or trophies. \nMCC members are needed to help with parking and registration. Steve would like the cars parked so the cars from the different clubs are intermingled. Mia will be in charge of registration and disbursing the name tags. We need eight different colored sharpies for name tags. One color per club. MCC would like red. \nSunburst members will help with the cornhole tournament. Rod Lautenbach is bringing the boards. \nFor people who show up and don’t belong to one of the Corvette Clubs\, we will charge a $5.00 or $10.00 donation to the Lions Club. \n  \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Red/White/Blue Ride to Calvano's Car Show
DESCRIPTION:The Red/White/Blue/Calvano drive will be held on Wednesday July 29th.  This drive is unique for two reasons. FIRST: It’s the shortest drive of the year – In fact most of us will drive further just to reach Papa Stache’s. RWBC total drive length: 12 miles. That’s right\, 12 miles. We’ll travel six fun-filled miles on scenic Hwy 164 all the way to Lawnsdale Road. From there we’ll turn left and travel yet another six miles to Foxx View Lanes in Waukesha. Please show-up with a full tank of gas because there are no rest stops!! SECOND: We’re going All American and lining-up by color. Red vehicles will lead the column\, then White vehicles\, then the Blues\, then the rest of us. We’ll try to park as a group continuing the Red / White / Blue theme if possible.\n\n\n\n  \nNEW TIMES ARE: \n1:30 – 2:25:  Meet & Socialize (Papa Stache) \n2:25:            Participants Meeting \n2:30:            Head Out\, By Color\, Red Cars\, then White\, then Blue (so far this idea isn’t working very well) \n3:00:            Arrive\, Park & Relax \n  \nShow parking is free.  Food and refreshments are available. They serve food indoors and outdoors\, there are indoor rest facilities\, and live music 5-8pm.  There are raffles and a wide assortment of local cars and trucks\, collectables as well as late models. NO carry-ins\, so please don’t bring your own coolers.  You do need to bring a chair for those times when you aren’t walking around the show or dancing. You can leave from the show at any time\, no one is “parked-in”. \n  \nThere is an event sign-up sheet at our meetings\, or you can go on-line to add your name to the list.  Fun Event\, Local Event\, Always well attended and Always a good time.
