  • Car Show Update: Bob Wiltse provided the following treasurer report:

$7,310                Gross

$3,200                Expenses

$4,117                Net

Highlight of this year’s show was the amount of cash raised for the Basket Auction – $2,265. Food was down about $1,000; cash donations were down $1,000 and there were 30 less cars participating.

Mia advised the board discussed the car show and we really need a Car Show Manual to put together a lot of the things that we have learned. Car show is our #1 fund raiser of the year and we need to get our sponsors early in the year, get our marketing out there, all the things we need to do to get higher attendance, etc.

Board also discussed current location as to why we were down 30 cars: new location; complaints from attendees there isn’t anywhere to park and they have to walk a long way; change date of car show (this year Muskego Dandelion Days attendance was way down due to no carnival and did this have an effect on our car show). Lee Elger brought up there was a farm in Muskego that also had a car show that attracted 30 cars.

Everyone is happy that the Basket Auction is the reason we have a net $4,117 from the car show. Last year we had a net of $6,000.

Another idea is should we add motorcycles. One of the baskets was from Indian Motorcycles and they inquired about doing a show together.

Rod Lautenbach mentioned he has a suggestion box on the sign-up table. You can sign your suggestions or be anonymous. We are looking for all suggestions regarding the car show.

50th Anniversary Weekend:  Mia asked if everyone had a good time this past weekend. Members clapped. A lot of effort was put into it. Mia again thanked the 50th Anniversary Committee:
